A modern, exquisite northern Scandinavian dining experience at Pyhä

At Aihki, Nordic flavours meet the best local ingredients.

We are currently on a summer break and will open our doors again in November.

Upon reopening, guests can enjoy our acclaimed 6-course Chef’s Signature Menu with advance reservation (min. 1 day prior), or opt for a 4-course Daily Chef’s Menu, available also for walk-ins depending on availability.

We are happy to accommodate special dietary needs with prior notice. Vegan and dairy-free guests can enjoy a dedicated 3-course vegan menu, with select wines from our cellar.

Reservations and inquiries are welcome via email at aihki@experiencepyha.fi, by phone at +358 41 318 8876, or through our online booking system.

We can’t wait to welcome you back in November!

Festive and themed dinners

At Sunday Morning Resort, culture and Nordic cuisine go hand in hand. We organize art exhibitions, concerts, and themed culture & cuisine nights throughout the year, where local ingredients and creative menus meet in unique ways.

Breakfast

Start your day peacefully with our breakfast service, available daily from 8:30 to 10:30. Freshly brewed coffee is served directly to your table, alongside a curated buffet featuring Finnish flavours crafted with local ingredients.

You’ll also find a menu at your table highlighting additional options such as specialty coffees, Mimosas, and a daily special egg dish.

Private dinners and celebrations

Restaurant Aihki’s seasonal dinner menus are a fantastic choice for celebrations, private dining, and special moments. We operate on advance bookings and are open for diners from Monday to Sunday. For an unforgettable Lapland experience, we also invite you to try local delicacies in our lakeside Kota hut — a truly atmospheric setting for memorable evenings.

Licence and wine cellar

Restaurant Aihki and the entire resort are fully licenced to provide a complete culinary experience. We built our own wine cellar in 2020 and are happy to provide tours.

Lakeside Kota hut

In addition to Restaurant Aihki in the main building, Sunday Morning Resort has a lakeside hut that provides the ultimate Lappish dining experience – naturally accompanied by the sounds of a crackling fire. The hut can be booked for up to 18 diners at a time.

Sustainability at Aihki

Being responsible is paramount

We want to keep the North pristine: nature is considered every step of the way with our sustainable development plan. You can trust that your meal is responsibly sourced and prepared with respect for nature. We strive to source our ingredients from local producers, grow our own vegetables and forage for wild food.

Sunday Morning Resort and Restaurant Aihki are carbon neutral. We have a highly efficient heating system and a six-hectare forest that acts as a carbon sink. We use durable, high-quality textiles and launder them in-house to avoid unnecessary transport. All our waste is recycled and biodegradable waste is composted. The resulting compost is used in our potato patch and veggie garden, which are located in our yard. We only use organic fertilizers in our garden.
